How did we get into naturism
Three years ago, during our cycle tour from The Netherlands to Sylt (Germany) we finally had the opportunity to go to Naturist Camping Areas. In the past we visited sometimes a sauna and visiting a naturist area seems normal to us.
Naturism to us is the feeling of freedom. It certainly is not about the body beautiful. Pretensions seem to fall away with the clothes - most naturists are very genuine people.

Who are naturists and about their camping areas
When Naturism reaches a certain level of acceptance and there are sufficient numbers of people wanting naturist holidays, the provision of suitable areas and facilities becomes a viable business proposition. Some Naturist Resorts have become very large and cater for hundreds or even thousands of visitors at one time.
The Naturist Camping Areas are primarily to have a good time while enjoying life naturally which we define as being nude. And find that people who like to be nude in the open air are much more comfortable when they are in a like-minded group. Mostly they never pressure anyone to disrobe and we have some camping couples in which one member of the couple is not a nudist. The "extended family" ambiance is a more important factor.

International Naturist Federation - INF
Naturism being natural, the International Naturist Federation seeks to promote a return to a more natural and healthier way of life as regards health, the environment and food.
The International Naturist Federation defined naturism as stated below, at their 1974 International Naturist Federation - INF - World Congress held in Agde, France:
"Naturism is a lifestyle in harmony with nature, expressed through social nudity, and characterized by self-respect of people with different opinions and of the environment."

FKK
Organized Naturism was called Freikörperkultur FKK (free body culture) in Germany, the country of its origin. It first came onto the scene at the beginning of the present century.
